Why communism needed to be stopped

Picture
Communism was a harsh and brutal way of ruling. It resulted in the deaths of over 60 million people over the course of about 45 years. The Democratic countries were right to see this as a threat and take action against it. If it had expanded its influence across the globe then the death toll would still be rising dramatically. The living conditions of the citizens of communist-controlled countries were horrific. Famine was common, and death from starvation was normal.
