The Containment Policy

  During the time of the Cold War, the world had been divided up in two separate groups. The Democratic countries, and the Communism countries.
 The Democratic countries, seeing how communism was spreading, tried to stop it, as they saw it as a terrible thing.

The Vietnam War, and Korean War were some short-term consequences of the policy.  One of the long-term consequences was the rise of the Al-Queda.
